FAQs

Where are you based and do you travel?

We are based in Southern California and cover the areas of the Inland Empire, Los Angeles County, Orange County and North San Diego County. A travel fee will be applied in addition to the session price or package for areas outside of the cities of Riverside and Moreno Valley, California (cities 15 miles out of our territory).

If your session is outside of SoCal, we would love to travel for your session. Inquire through our booking link for more details.

How do you photograph weddings?

We are so honored to assist with your big day! In advance of the event, we meet with each client to discuss the event timeline, pose preferences, how to organize your event schedule based on lighting, what time to capture special photos (first look and golden hour, yes!), the best moments for family and group shots, special detail pictures, etc. It's really helpful for you to share sneak peeks of your event style, dresses, shoes, invites, color palette, how many people are in the bridal party and where you each will be getting ready. During each event, we focus on capturing the emotions and fun! Our team is very attentive to your needs by providing amazing customer service throughout the event.

How many pictures will you receive?

For a six- to eight-hour event, you will receive between 200 to 500 edited images (usually more because Renee overshoots oops!).

For portrait sessions, you will receive 60-150 photos (usually more because Renee overshoots oops!).

We always choose quality rather than quantity and will provide you the crispest photos. Any great photos will be included. We like to provide a variety of photos from every session and document from start to finish so you can relive these special moments!

When will you receive your photos?

You will receive an online gallery link with all photos and video of the session within 90 days for non-event sessions and 120 days for event sessions.

We send sneak peeks within 10 days of your session.

What is your cancellation policy?

Deposits are 30% of the contract amount and due to secure booking date. Deposits are non-refundable.

RVigilPhotos has reserved their time to photograph and video for clients whom have a contract for said date/time to the exclusion of other business opportunities and has relied on the client's estimated revenue figures. Clients must understand that cancellation of its contract will cause RVigilPhotos to lose substantial photography and videography revenue, which RVigilPhotos cannot recover. Accordingly, changes to or cancellation of a session is subject to the penalties described in the following.

Cancellation Timeline for the Number of days prior to session date and percentage (%) of contract due (this will be referenced with amounts due on your contract):
*226-365 Calendar Days from Session - 25% of Contract Amount
*200-225 Calendar Days from Session - 50% of Contract Amount
*175-199 Calendar Days from Session - 75% of Contract Amount
*Less than 174 Calendar Days from Session - 100% of Contract Amount

In the unlikely event that RVigilPhotos is unable to attend the session for any reason beyond their control: accident, illness or similar RVigilPhotos will not be liable to compensate the client except to return any monies paid and will make recommendations to utilize another photographer.

What is your weather policy?

RVigilPhotos typically works rain or shine, so if you are not willing to be photographed/videoed in rain, snow, cloudy or other various elements, please proactively cancel your session by 10am two (2) days prior to your scheduled shoot. Failure to cancel will be taken as a willingness to be photographed in these weather elements.

If it’s really hot and sunny
– we will help find shaded areas that work.

If it’s really overcast (believe it or not), cloudy and overcast skies are amazing for sessions so don’t be afraid of cloud cover ruining things.

If it’s raining, rain can be amazing for achieving moody or dramatic photographs and videos. Also, working with props like umbrellas, a cute poncho or rain boots can make for a fun session.

If it’s chilly, make sure you have things that will keep you warm enough to still enjoy your session like scarves, gloves, hats, thick socks, etc.

If you are uncomfortable shooting in the rain or any other weather condition (rain or shine), you must proactively cancel your session by 10am two (2) days before your session so please be on top of checking the weather since late cancellations, even if it’s due to rain or other elements, will still be subject to our client cancellation policy.

RVigilPhotos will be able to make the best of all kinds of weather! That being said, in the case of severe weather (lightning, tornadoes, hurricanes, blizzards, and other acts of God) – our team will proactively cancel your session out of consideration for your and our safety!

What is your late and no-show policy?

We strongly recommend you arrive at least 15 minutes early to account for any transportation issues, changing into outfits, getting kids situated, etc. If you are running late, please text or call RVigilPhotos immediately to let them know you will be tardy.

If you are 10+ minutes late:
You will be charged a $20 penalty. RVigilPhotos will work for the remainder of your allotted session timeframe; and subject to their schedule, they can extend if there’s availability, but please note that an extension is not guaranteed. Your 'arrival time' is when you have met up with team RVigilPhotos and are ready for the session to start.

If you are 20+ minutes late:
You will be charged a $50 penalty. Depending on RVigilPhotos' schedule and availability, you may still have a session, but it is not guaranteed.

As a no-show to sessions, RVigilPhotos will require a $100 non-refundable booking fee for your next session. We will keep the deposit and session fee from the date you no showed to. No refunds will be provided.

If RVigilPhotos is late:
Our team are instructed to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their session time, but in the case that they are running late, they will still honor your entire booked session length (unless you prefer an abbreviated session).

The client is in control of how photos and videos are shared.
